My Bio

Emily Freeman took her first creative writing class in high school and has loved writing ever since. She finds great joy in studying the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. Her deep love of the scriptures comes from a desire to find their application in everyday life. She is the author of several books, includingThe Ten Virgins; 21 Days Closer to Christ; and Love Life and See Good Days.

There is nothing Emily enjoys more for breakfast than a bowl of vanilla ice cream, raspberries, and chocolate chips. Other favorites include parades, vacations, firework displays, and going for a long walk with a good friend. Emily and her husband, Greg, live in Lehi, Utah, with their four children, whom she adores.

I BELIEVE…

I believe in Heavenly Father who loves and provides watch care over each of His children.  I believe that He hears and answers our prayers.  In the still moments of life I have come to know Him as my God, mine helper.  He knows my heart.  He supplies my need.  He gives the increase.

I believe in Jesus Christ who is our Advocate with the Father, our Savior, and our Redeemer.  I know Him as the Author and the Finisher, the Giver of Every Good Gift, the High Priest of Good Things to Come.  He is the Good Shepherd.  He calls me by name and I follow because I long to become His.  When I walk through the waters of life, He is with me and the rivers do not overflow me.  When I pass through the fire, I am not burned; neither do flames kindle against me.  For He is the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, my Savior.  Since I am precious in His sight, He has loved me.  I do not fear, because I know He is with me.  (see Isaiah 43)

When I was eight-years-old I was baptized.  I covenanted to take the Lord’s name upon me.  Part of my covenant included a promise to bear one another’s burdens, to mourn with those that mourn, to comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as the Lord’s witness at all times, and in all things, and in all places.  (Mosiah 18:8-9)

After I was baptized I was surrounded by men who hold the Priesthood and I received the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands.  (Acts 8:17)  Now I walk in the comfort of the Holy Ghost.  (Acts 9:31)  As I serve the Lord and keep His commandments He pours out His Spirit more abundantly upon me.  (Mosiah 18:10)

I believe in the books of scripture that center on the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.  They include the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Book of Mormon ––a second witness of Jesus Christ, the Pearl of Great Price, and the Doctrine and Covenants.  These words are a source of strength in my life and a constant guide.  Here I find comfort.  Here I find answers.  Here I find hope.

Just as the people living in the times those holy words were written were led by prophets who spoke with God, I believe in a living prophet who speaks with God today.  The heavens are not closed; God’s love is constant for His children in every dispensation of time.

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.                                                                                                                I am a Mormon.

My greatest desire is to stand as a witness of Jesus Christ.

With all my heart.                                                                                                                                                                                    For all my days.
